About The Position

As a Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, youll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system. Requirements

Requires a Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
Agile experience preferred.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on:Ground pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payloads
Experience with tracking IR payload or ground mission data transport, handling, and analysis
Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design.
Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling.
Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment.
Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications a plus

Responsibilities

Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline.
Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases
Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs.
