About The Position

As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency in the aerospace industry. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way aircraft operate. Your experience in systems engineering will be instrumental in shaping the future of aerospace technology. You will report directly to one of our Next-Gen Avionics Engineering Managers and you'll work out of our north Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will be part of the Next-Gen Avionics team within Honeywell Aerospace Electronic Solutions. You will be responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core Aircraft State sensor selection and navigation computations to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects, resulting in the advancement of aerospace technology and the improvement of air travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably model-based
  • Comprehensive knowledge in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Engineering degrees like AE (Aerospace Engineering), SE (Systems Engineering)
  • Experience with IMA IO and IO Scheduling Tools (ESCAPE, PCT, HARMONIC)
  • Familiarity with the NGA System Architecture
  • Experience with Simulink or similar model-based design tools
  • Experience in complex system integration projects
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
  • Attention to detail
