About The Position

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Deer Valley, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the future of aviation technology, contributing to the development of cutting-edge avionics systems that improve flight safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, particularly in avionics or related fields.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • Experience with software development tools and methodologies, including Agile practices.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

  • Experience in leading software development projects and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in software engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with avionics software standards and safety-critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of advanced software applications for avionics systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Implement best practices in software development to ensure high-quality deliverables.
