The Advanced Software Engineer brings deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable software platforms across infrastructure, tools, and development methodologies. In this role, you’ll help build PatientPoint’s next-generation unified platform using Python 3, React, Google Ad Manager, Elasticsearch, and AWS. Requirements

4+ years of experience in backend software engineering focused on building enterprise-grade applications
4+ years developing scalable, high-performance, high availability microservices
4+ years designing cloud-native architectures and implementing infrastructure as code
4+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries
2+ years of Elasticsearch experience or other cloud-native search technologies
2+ years of front-end development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular
Advanced proficiency in Python 3 is required (a coding assessment will be administered to evaluate this proficiency).

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with observability tools and performance monitoring platforms, including New Relic and Sentry
Background in containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Amazon ECS, and Kubernetes
Familiarity with cloud security concepts and protocols including OAuth2, JWT, HMAC, data encryption, hashing, and secret management
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Product, DevOps, and Security
Understanding of digital advertising ecosystems and platforms such as Google Ad Manager, Kevel, Sizmek, and DV360
Awareness of healthcare compliance standards and regulatory frameworks like HIPAA and PHI
Experience developing software with a focus on customer feedback and iterative improvement

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs deployed in AWS across multiple technical domains
Develop scalable, high-performance solutions that follow modern software design principles and meet business requirements
Contribute to architectural discussions and drive implementation of clean, reusable solutions across services
Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of core platform services and APIs
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as planning, retrospectives, and story grooming
Conduct thorough code reviews, share technical feedback, and contribute to continuous code quality improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and Security to support high-quality software delivery
Use AI based development tools to build high quality, high performance AdTech products.
