About The Position

We are looking for an Advanced Software Engineer. Duties and Tasks: Perform software requirements analysis, participates in research, designs, develops and tests software and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancing existing applications, systems or embedded product. Code, test, integrate and document software solutions. Architect new software solutions while following standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Participate in internal peer reviews of software components and systems. Receive little instruction on day-to-day work. Responsible to define the scope, schedule and expectations for the work they execute or lead. Independently determine approach to solutions. Contribute and be accountable to the completion of major programs and projects. Responsible for resolution of significant and diverse problems and issues of broad scope and complexity. Provide leadership and/or direction to lower-level employees and teams. Collaborate with senior management and leadership within engineering and sometimes across the company. Frequently work with organizations outside engineering or with external customers. Build stable working relationships internally. Network with senior internal and external personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Experience with Java, especially Jakarta EE.
  • Expert in JavaScript frontend scripting (experience with ExtJS highly preferred).
  • Experience using Docker and VMWare virtualization technologies.
  • Experience integrating, querying, and debugging databases.
