Join our dynamic Flight Management System (FMS) team within Honeywell Aerospace, where we design, develop, and integrate highly complex systems for our Anthem Next Generation Avionics program. We are seeking an experienced engineer who is passionate about building innovative, high‑quality software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and the aerospace industry. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment alongside experienced software and systems engineers. You will play a key part in defining and satisfying technical requirements, supporting functional load deliveries, and ensuring compliance with industry certification standards. Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in software development with strong C plus plus or Object-oriented programming skills.
  • Strong software architecture and design skills, with hands‑on experience using Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • US PERSON REQUIREMENT: Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations, such as DO-178C.
  • Experience in developing software for embedded systems.
  • Multi-core / multi-thread development experience.
  • Strong understanding of OOAD approach and concepts.
  • Strong analytical and software development skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing high-quality Core Software architecture and applications.
  • Integrating Flight Management software for new product development.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Implement software solutions that meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  • Conduct software requirements and code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Testing and Integration on test benches in labs.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in software development.
