About The Position
The Advanced Respiratory Care Student shall be under the direction of a licensed Respiratory Therapist. This individual shall be responsible to provide respiratory care and services to patients. Duties and responsibilities are limited to those that fall under the scope of practice of unlicensed respiratory therapist acting under the direction of a licensed respiratory therapist, in order to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Requirements
- Must qualify for student status by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy AND/OR recent graduate with a temporary license from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Care.
- BLS required, Temporary license if applicable
- Must have good verbal communication skills in person and on the telephone.
- Must be able to see within close and distant ranges and distinguish colors.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
