Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners at Comprehensive are part of a multidisciplinary team that provides integrated behavioral health treatment to clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborating with therapists, case managers, nurses and other members the treatment team, Nurse Practitioners assist in the development of an individualized treatment plan for each client. Taking ownership of the pharmacological intervention, Nurse Practitioners complete psychiatric evaluations, prescribe appropriate medications, and provide general medical counseling and referrals. Our medical provider team has the opportunity to meet monthly to staff cases and receives regular supervision from the Chief Medical Officer. In this role, strong communication skills, the desire to work in a collaborative team environment, and the ability to establish trusting relationships with clients will be essential. We currently have two roles available in our Yakima outpatient clinic. One position will serve children and adolescents from standard outpatient and intensive, community-based youth programs. No travel is required with this position. The other position will serve adults and senior adults receiving treatment in outpatient and residential treatment facilities.
