About The Position
QuantumScape developed the industry's first anode-less cell design, which delivers high energy density while lowering material costs and simplifying manufacturing. Our innovative battery cell technology can store energy more efficiently and reliably than today's lithium-ion batteries. QuantumScape is on a mission to transform energy storage with solid-state lithium-metal battery technology. The company's next-generation batteries are designed to enable longer range, faster charging and enhanced safety in electric vehicles to support the transition away from legacy energy sources toward a lower carbon future. QuantumScape is expanding our Advanced R&D team to the Asia-Pacific region, in our newly established R&D Center in Kyoto, Japan. We are seeking experienced engineers fit for the role of a forward-thinking Senior Battery Research Engineer - Senior Member Technical Staff (SMTS) that is a versatile researcher who is looking for technical challenges and professional growth. The individual most successful in this new role would be a scientist or engineer with a background in battery research. We are seeking a researcher to further improve the performance of our novel solid-state battery. This role is inherently hands-on in lab and requires a strong understanding of data analysis and experimental rigor.
