About The Position

Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist - 2-phase cooling The Advanced R&D Engineer Scientist will be responsible developing advanced two-phase cooling technologies for data centers. This engineer will support development of internal modeling and simulation tools, experiments to support the growth of the Refrigerants business. The engineer needs to effectively communicate technical information to industry and customers to assist their transition to new environmentally safer refrigerant substitutes. Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to technical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve research, techniques, procedures, and products and technologies. This job will facilitate design, development, and testing to meet project objectives faster and more efficiently and you develop and commercialize products & technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Research and advance thermal management technologies for data centers, focusing on single-phase and two-phase direct-to-chip cooling systems.
  • Design, source, build, and operate testbeds and proof-of-concept systems, analyzing thermal and computational performance with a deep understanding of underlying physics.
  • Serve as the local expert in evaluating thermal performance, and electrical/computational performance criteria.
  • Conduct simulations, thermal-mechanical analysis, CFD modeling, and statistical Design of Experiments to optimize system performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive novel cooling technologies, ensure high scientific rigor, and deliver solutions with industry-leading performance.
