About The Position

Requirements

• Experience with a wide range of laser control or locking electronics, optical modulators, and laser system diagnostic tools.
• Experience with absorption spectroscopy.
• Experience with Python.
• Knowledge of alkali metal spectroscopy.
• Ability to drive practical science and engineering solutions to customer applications.
• Ability to implement and comprehend optical, laser, or atomic physics experiments and perform measurements.
• Ability to perform trade studies, down-select hardware, and make practical recommendations based on experience and literature.
• Ability to obtain a TS / SCI clearance.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of experience with quantum mechanics, atomic physics, and quantum effects in sensing, including with scientific publications or conference presentations.
• Experience leading and managing small to medium-sized engineering, integration, and test projects.
• Experience with lasers, atoms, spectroscopy, and alkali metals.
• Experience developing technology business plans and roadmaps, building and managing teams to execute projects, and overseeing resources.
• Experience with RF or RF photonics, software defined radios, and low noise amplifiers.
• Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills, to convey complex concepts to varied audiences.
• Possession of strong collaborative skills, to work effectively with people of various backgrounds and expertise.
