About The Position

As an Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be part of a team with the interest, aptitude, and experience associated with the design, development, integration, and qualification of Aerospace Actuation products leading Commercial and Defense programs within our Honeywell Control Systems product line. You will be a technical leader and primary decision maker for program cost, schedule, as well as technical issues. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance throughout the development lifecycle. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the overall efficiency and effectiveness of engineering projects, contributing to the advancement of aerospace technologies and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 4+ years of Engineering experience with complex mechanical systems.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

  • Mechanical/Actuation Systems design and/or component controller integration

Responsibilities

  • Program/Project Management
  • Cost account management skills in the SAP environment
  • System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
  • Control architecture and design
  • Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
  • Mechanical Systems validation & verification
  • Customer technical interface
  • Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives
  • Technical problem solving/Root cause analysis
  • Technical documentation – Test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Analysis of test data results
