About The Position

The Advanced Production/Assembly Worker is responsible for the assembly of structural and mechanical components safely and efficiently to produce a quality product that meets specifications. This role involves laying out and constructing various product assemblies with minimal supervision according to blueprints or specifications, using the proper tools and equipment. The worker will read and follow assembly specifications, bills of material, and drawing sets, identifying discrepancies and planning the successive steps of fabricating and assembling mechanical parts and units. Additionally, the worker will ensure that mechanisms are free from binding or interference and function properly, diagnosing and repairing any improper mechanical assembly or operation. Maintaining ISO-9001 standards and performing all duties in a safe manner while supporting safety and environmental rules and initiatives is essential. The worker will also participate in Lean initiatives to provide ongoing continuous improvement ideas for products, processes, and procedures, and may be required to work in other areas of the plant as needed.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Skilled and experienced with operating hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
  • Blueprint reading capabilities and understanding of measurements and tolerances.
  • Ability to obtain forklift license.
  • Ability to learn how to properly handle overhead cranes safely.

Responsibilities
