Functions the collaboration agreement of a Physician, (as per O.R.C. 4730) performs complete histories and physicals on patients of all ages to establish and record patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan to provide continuing medical care, including daily examinations, writing orders, chart notes, discharging patients and completing discharge summaries. This medical care may be in a variety of clinical settings. PA's are privileged by the Board of Governors. Practice in a setting that requires complex monitoring and therapies and high intensity medical/surgical interventions and/or continuous vigilance within the range of high-acuity care. Cleveland Clinic has a PRN opportunity for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner working primarily inpatient with newborns through 21 years of age and children who are inpatients at the CCF Children's Rehabilitation hospital, Hillcrest Hospital and Fairview Hospital. The patient population that the NP will provide care to includes children/adolescents with complex medical conditions and technology dependence and children/adolescents with the need for comprehensive rehabilitation after trauma or surgeries. The patient population also includes Pediatric Hospital Medicine patients that require hospitalization for illnesses/diseases including respiratory, GI, dermatologic, etc. The PNPs are part of the medical staff and take direct responsibility for the medical care of assigned patients. The successful candidate will also participate in interdisciplinary rounds, team meetings and hospital leadership project participation as appropriate. The candidate must have prescriptive authority, DEA recommended but not necessary. This shift is days and there will be flexibility in creating a schedule.
