About The Position

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practitioner to join our team. Highlights: The role would include inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology and general cardiology care, with pre and post procedure follow up of invasive electrophysiology procedures including pediatric and adult congenital patients, inpatient rounding and patient management Serve as the primary owner of pediatric device clinic operations Perform in-person device interrogations (pacemakers, ICDs, ILRs) Review and triage remote monitoring transmissions Identify and escalate abnormal device findings to EP physicians/inform congenital physician if patient is co-managed by cards/EP Document device evaluations and support accurate billing workflows Coordinate with device representatives for scheduled clinic support Track device inventory, generator/lead status, and recalls as applicable Perform pre-procedure clinical review (labs, imaging, medications, anticoagulation plans) The electrophysiology service includes one pediatric congenital electrophysiologist and a PA dedicated to the device clinic. The electrophysiology service provides coverage for St Christopher's Hospital for Children. We also benefit from having excellent collaboration with several adult electrophysiology programs in the area An APP dedicated to the device clinic St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, a partnership between Tower Health and Drexel University, is a 188-bed facility that provides exceptional care to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and surrounding counties. With more than 220 pediatric experts on staff, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children combines topnotch pediatric care with a wide array of pediatric specialties, including Cardiology; Ear, Nose and Throat; Gastroenterology; Oncology; and Orthopedics. It houses the only Pediatric Burn Center between New York City and Baltimore and is one of only three Level I Pediatric Trauma Centers in Pennsylvania. St. Christopher’s is a Magnet® designated hospital and has been recognized as a Women’s Choice Award Best Children’s Hospital.

Requirements

  • 4 year/Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant Experience
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • NCCPA Certification
  • PA Physician Assistant License
