About The Position

The Advanced Practitioner is responsible for delivering the highest level of patient care at a premier fertility center. The AP assesses, diagnoses and treats patients, administers and orders appropriate tests, interprets laboratory tests, provides education and appropriate management for women and men in need of reproductive related services. The AP collaborates with physicians and other clinicians in a team-based approach to patient care.

Requirements

Current board certification as Physician Assistant, Family Nurse Practitioner or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner
Current state license as Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority
BLS - required
Studies level: Certification
Studies area: BLS
At least two years of previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility
Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.

Responsibilities

Obtains detailed medical histories, reviews medical records, and performs appropriate physical exams.
Performs detailed infertility evaluations, including but not limited to gynecologic exams, procedures, ultrasonography; order appropriate tests, and interprets laboratory values.
Collaborate with physicians in development and implementation of treatment plans appropriate to individual patients.
Prescribes appropriate medications and provides appropriate referrals.
Provides detailed and comprehensive patient counseling and education.
Acts as liaison between collaborating physician and clinical staff to ensure high-level medical care and addresses issues for improvement.
