HSHS Medical Group is recruiting a BC or BE physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our Primary Care team in Decatur, IL. HSHS Medical Group works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System. Decatur is home to Millikin University, and the Millikin Decatur Symphony Orchestra. Decatur is a quick drive from Champaign and Bloomington, and also has it's own airport making travel extremely easy. Decatur also has it's own lake, which allows a wide variety of different boats access to the lake, including small sailboats. Decatur has public and private schools, and many arts related and athletic activities with it's many public programs and recreational areas. Requirements

  • Unrestricted Illinois license prior to start
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
  • Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Experience in management of patients across the care continuum preferred.
  • Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.
  • Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred.
  • Federal DEA license is preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
