About The Position

Join our team at Caring Hearts Clinic offers its patients traditional family healthcare services, but prides itself on being more than just a medical practice. This APRN position is part-time 4hrs a day up to 16hrs a week with great flexibility. CHC have been serving the community of New Port Richey and surrounding area, for more than 5 years- a privately, physician owned and operated practice specializing in primary care(including managed care and direct primary care) with a growing emphasis on prevention, chronic disease intervention/management and DOT exams. Requirements

  • Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license required
  • FMCSA-approval to conduct DOT medical examinations
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical/hospital setting
  • EMR experience required
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess the full scope of patient needs
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Conduct courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • As an all care provider you will manage chronic conditions, evaluate and treat ourpatient's medical needs and work with a capable, compassionate team to bring a better quality of life to our community.
  • Review and prescribe patient medications and order when necessary.
  • Work independently, with strong communication and collaboration under the direction of our Program Physician or Program Lead APRN
  • Refer patients who have been determined to need care outside our scope of practice.
  • Patient education about health insufficiency and its complications
  • Educate clients on pre-and post-treatment care for long-lasting results
  • Offer DPC plans available at the clinic to clients
  • Perform initiation of basic wound care
  • Collaborate with referring physicians
  • Record clear and accurate medical documentation in the patient’s medical chart
  • Aid as needed by direction program lead APRN with office coverage as needed
  • Follow all applicable medical care regulations and safety protocols
  • Perform DOT exams (if not qualified, take certification within a month)
