Requirements

• APRN and experience serving individuals with severe and prolonged mental illness and substance abuse is required.
• Must have working knowledge of computer applications, and if applicable ability to navigate through electronic health record.
• CT Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license required
• DEA Controlled Substance License Required
• CT DCP Controlled Substance Licensure required

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two years of such experience highly preferred
• ANCC certification as Mental Health/Psychiatric specialist highly preferred
• The Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000 (Data 2000 Waiver) for Suboxone (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide High-Quality Psychiatric Care Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations and provide ongoing medication management following nationally recognized clinical guidelines.
• Complete timely assessments, progress notes, and treatment documentation in alignment with BHcare policies.
• Support Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) initiatives, including Suboxone induction and monitoring when applicable.
• Collaborate Across the Care Team Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and clinicians to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Participate in treatment planning, review/sign clinical evaluations and treatment plans, and contribute to improved performance standards.
• Ensure Clinical & Regulatory Excellence Utilize EHR platforms including CareLogic, electronic labs, and e-prescribing systems.
• Complete physician emergency certificates when clinically indicated.
