Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
About The Position
PanCare of Florida is seeking a skilled, compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our primary care team. Requirements
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills
- Proficiency in physical examinations and interpretation of diagnostic results
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education abilities
- Ability to manage complex cases and prioritize care effectively
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness of social determinants of health
- Strong EHR and clinical documentation skills (eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare regulations, and ethical standards
- Leadership and mentorship capabilities within a multidisciplinary team
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program
- Completion of an accredited APRN program (Family Practice or General Practice preferred)
- National certification (e.g., FNP through AANP or ANCC)
- Active, unrestricted Florida APRN license
- Minimum of 2–3 years RN experience; 1–2 years in primary care or general practice preferred
- Experience managing common primary care and chronic conditions
- BLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- Psychiatric credentialling is a plus, though not required
- Specialty certifications (Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Gerontology) a plus
- Experience with EHR systems, especially eClinicalWorks, preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and differential diagnoses
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and common infections
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized, patient-centered care plans
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications with appropriate documentation and education
- Provide preventive care, health screenings, and wellness services
- Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and chronic condition self-management
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and continuity of care
- Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and compliance efforts
- Mentor clinical staff and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
