Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (DEA)
About The Position
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Women's Health Specialists, part of Med Center Health, provides comprehensive care to women across the lifespan, with a focus on reproductive, gynecologic, and obstetric health. Working collaboratively with physicians and other members of the care team, the APRN delivers patient-centered care that includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education, and disease prevention. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, evidence-based clinical practice, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality within the outpatient physician practice setting. The APRN functions with a high degree of autonomy, providing routine and acute women's health services such as annual exams, prenatal and postpartum care, family planning, menopausal management, and evaluation of gynecologic conditions. The position contributes to improving patient outcomes, enhancing access to care, and supporting Med Center Health's mission of delivering compassionate, expert healthcare.
Requirements
- Two years of clinical experience in women's health, obstetrics, or gynecology preferred.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing required.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (or temporary work permit) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky required.
- APRN Certification from a board recognized national organization required.
- DEA License required within 6 months from date of eligibility.
