Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Are you passionate about helping patients live well while undergoing treatment for their cancer? If so, we have a rewarding and fulfilling opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Supportive Care Service at MSK! Our Supportive Care Service is an interdisciplinary team that provides goal concordant, holistic care to cancer patients. We help to relieve patient and family suffering through evaluations of physical, psychological and spiritual needs and optimize their symptoms to help them live as well as possible. We provide expert consultation for complex pain and non-pain symptoms, and collaborate with oncology teams to support challenging communication and goals of care conversations. Role Overview: Provide palliative care to adult oncology patients in an independent, collaborative, and interdisciplinary practice model. Collaborate with primary disease management teams and, as a part of an interprofessional Supportive Care team, provide palliative care to patients with various stages of cancer. Facilitate post-acute transitions from inpatient to outpatient care in accordance with patients' values and goals

Requirements

  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • NCCPA certification
  • BLS certification
  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • Related National NP certification
  • BLS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospice & palliative care and/or graduate from an accredited hospice & palliative care fellowship strongly preferred.
