Requirements

  • State of Ohio graduate of an accredited school of nursing for Nurse Practitioners.
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program for Physician Assistants, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a physician office or hospital setting, with clinic experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both in person and on the telephone.
  • Current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing for Nurse Practitioners.
  • Current PA licensure by the State Medical Board of Ohio for Physician Assistants.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the specialty area indicated preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Function independently as an Advanced Practice Provider under the supervision of the Medical Director.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate treatment in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders.
  • Act as a liaison between the physician, patient, and family.
  • Collaborate with other health care professionals as appropriate.
  • Assist in the orientation of new employees.
  • Participate in hospital or department committees.
