About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides specialized care to patients with mental health conditions in collaboration with a psychiatrist(s). The APP assesses patients, interprets diagnostic test/results, and develops and implements treatment plans to address the patient's unique needs in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The APP role requires a high level of clinical expertise and the ability to work with patients who may have complex mental health needs. Psychiatric care can include both inpatient and the outpatient setting as full time, part time and/or relief at one or more of several behavioral health facilities within the Cone Health system.

Requirements

• North Carolina Board of Nursing Nurse Practitioner License.
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification.
• One to three years' experience in an inpatient and/or outpatient psychiatric setting strongly preferred.
