The candidate will evaluate foot and ankle conditions, including injuries, deformities, infections, and chronic diseases. Collaboration with podiatrists to develop treatment plans for patients is essential, along with assisting in surgical procedures, wound care, and minor office-based procedures. The role includes administering injections, prescribing medications, and providing patient education. There is potential to serve as the first assistant during surgical procedures related to foot and ankle conditions, as well as assisting with casting, splinting, and applying orthotic devices. Monitoring post-operative patients and managing wound healing is also a key responsibility.
