Job Quick Facts: Job ID: GS -FCCHZL -02 (PA) / GS -FCCHZL -03 (NP) Specialty: Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Bruceton Mills, WV Facility Type: Correctional Facility Coverage Period: Potential for a long -term contract Start Date: 04/22/2026 Coverage Type: Clinical Clinical Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week Call Schedule: Not required Patient Demographics: Adult patients in custody Procedures: Minor surgical procedures including incision and drainage, suturing of lacerations, removal of cysts, and removal or repair of ingrown toenails Malpractice Insurance: Covered JOB REQUIREMENTS Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory Certification: – Physician Assistants must hold NCCPA certification – Nurse Practitioners must hold appropriate national NP certification Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC) Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency care, acute care, ambulatory or outpatient care, psychiatric care, and/or medical -surgical care Preferred Experience: Prior experience providing healthcare in a correctional setting
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory
- Physician Assistants must hold NCCPA certification
- Nurse Practitioners must hold appropriate national NP certification
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency care, acute care, ambulatory or outpatient care, psychiatric care, and/or medical -surgical care
