Through the Orlando Health Children's Neuroscience Institute patients have the support of a multidisciplinary team of experts who use advanced techniques and procedures specialized for young people. The institute consists of 22 physicians and 17 advanced practice providers serving a multitude of neuroscience specialties including highly subspecialized surgeons on the leading edge of diagnosis and treatment for a diverse range of pediatric disorders of the nervous system and brain including trauma, congenital and neuro-oncology conditions. The multidisciplinary team is comprised of specialists within Behavioral Health and Development, Craniomaxillofacial Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Psychiatry. We are currently seeking an advanced practice provider to join our growing pediatric neurosurgical team. The Pediatric Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) collaborates with supervising physicians and other APP colleagues to co-manage the pediatric neurosurgical patient, according to established practice guidelines and utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards. The APP is responsible for managing patients within the inpatient setting, outpatient clinic visits, consultations, first-assists within surgical cases, and takes trauma call on a rotating basis.
