Pediatric Interventional Radiology Advanced Practice Provider Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children has provided compassionate care to the children, teenagers, and young adults of Central Florida for more than 25 years. Led by dedicated physicians, advanced practice providers, specialists and caregivers, Arnold Palmer Hospital offers a wide range of advanced pediatric services in an environment built just for kids. The Pediatric Interventional Radiology Department at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is seeking an experienced, Pediatric Interventional Radiology Advanced Practice Provider to join their team as we continue our efforts to offer comprehensive pediatric care to our patients and their families Responsibilities Essential Functions Inpatient management, rounds and consults on patients requiring an interventional radiology procedure within Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Critical Care Step-Down, Pediatric Acute Care Floors, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Prep the IR patient for their procedures to include but not limited to obtaining consents, order pre procedure labs and confirm results, place orders for procedures, obtain medications necessary for the procedure, order support devices, etc. Floor management to include but not limited to inpatient consults, rounds, patient and family education, note writing and discharges Post Procedural management to include but not limited to post procedural orders and admissions back to the floor. If same day procedure, responsible for discharge orders and discharge instructions with recommended follow up Care coordination to include scheduling and education for procedures, follow up on pre and post procedure phone calls, outpatient parent concerns and procedural results, triage outpatient add-ons, facilitate outpatient follow up and coordinate with other medical services when needed Perform procedures within their scope: Feeding tube placement, PICC line placement, Non-Tunneled CVL placement and removal, joint injections, floro guided lumbar punctures, thyroid biopsies, ultrasound guidance paracentesis, ultrasound guided thoracentesis, wound closure, chest tube insertion and removal, etc. and available for last minute add on PICC lines in the OR Additional functions: Serve as the PICC Team lead, provide educational lectures for nursing and other ancillary staff, bedside and in-room teaching for teams and families, programmatic growth and development. Qualifications Education/Training Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant Studies Preferred minimum 3 years' experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Pediatrics, Acute Care or Surgical Specialty Licensure/Certification Certified as a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner; or certified as a Physician Assistant. Current active certification and licensure in the State of Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant. Maintains current BLS and PALS certification. Education/Training Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant Studies Preferred minimum 3 years' experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Pediatrics, Acute Care or Surgical Specialty Licensure/Certification Certified as a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner; or certified as a Physician Assistant. Requirements

  • Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant Studies
  • Certified as a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner; or certified as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current active certification and licensure in the State of Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.
  • Maintains current BLS and PALS certification.
