About The Position

As an Advanced Practice Provider in our pediatric comprehensive epilepsy center at Primary Children's Hospital, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with epilepsy, as well as lead and manage the center in partnership with another APP. Clinical responsibilities will primarily include patient care in our outpatient clinic and inpatient admitting, discharging, and management of patients in need of EEG monitoring. You will work a Monday - Friday day shift schedule While you will support surgical patients in pre and post-operative care, you will not surgically assist in the operating room. This role is essential in management and continued development of the program, working closely with the service line director and medical director to develop, implement and meet program goals, develop patient education materials, assist in marketing plans, develop care processes and protocols, track patient outcomes and managing resources to provide cost-efficient care for the patient. We treat patients from birth through young adulthood, who may experience various types of epileptic seizures. Requirements

  • Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Certification as a nurse practitioner, or physician assistant
  • Eligible for State Controlled Substance License
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers

Nice To Haves

  • Prior pediatric APP experience is highly preferred
