Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program appropriate for care of Pediatric patients.
  • Appropriate licensure in the State of Washington.
  • DEA licensure required at time of credentialing.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • PALS certification is required within 3 months of hiring date.

Nice To Haves

  • EMR based computer skills and experience with CPOE preferred.
  • Strong team player with a can-do attitude is a must.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
  • Must enjoy long-term relationships with patients undergoing intense therapy.
  • Pediatrics, Oncology or BMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for pediatric blood and marrow transplant patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings under the supervision of the attending physician.
  • Responsible for the primary care of the patient including assessment, triage, and management of the transplant patient as part of a collaborative transplant team.
  • Obtain medical history, perform physical examinations, review and order diagnostic studies, radiographs, and prescribe treatments.
  • Provide follow-up care of bone marrow donors under the supervision of the attending physician.
