About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider to join our inpatient team. The successful candidate will manage the comprehensive care of post-operative orthopedic patients from their initial recovery phase to final discharge coordination. This role involves performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to monitor recovery and identify complications, and collaborating closely with our orthopedic surgeons to formulate and execute effective, patient-centered treatment and rehabilitation plans. The APP will focus on wound care, early mobilization, and patient and family education to ensure a smooth transition of care and prevent readmissions in our fast-paced, high-volume environment. Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.

Requirements

  • Bachelor-PA Prog OR Master-PA
  • No Experience
  • No Supervisor Experience
  • Physician Assistant

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Orthopedic experience preferred
