About The Position

The position promotes customer satisfaction through caring, friendly, professional interactions with patients and families, while maintaining positive interactions with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team. The role involves providing direct patient care and treatment within the scope of practice, according to established protocols and utilizing evidence-based clinical standards under the supervision of the sponsoring physician. Responsibilities include working effectively with healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care, demonstrating caring and respectful behaviors, obtaining relevant health histories, performing appropriate examinations, and managing patient care plans. The position also emphasizes maintaining interpersonal skills, effective communication, and clinic operations efficiency.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program or Advanced Practice Provider Program - Required
  • 2-3 years of experience as an APP - Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience in oncology - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs or orders appropriate preventive and/or diagnostic tests or procedures based on patient's age and history.
  • Competently performs invasive and non-invasive procedures as appropriate to role.
  • Develops and carries out patient management plans.
  • Provides health care services and education aimed at preventing health problems and maintaining health.
  • Maintains competency with conditions associated with program's patient population.
  • Performs all duties as assigned with appropriate attitude.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to work with others.
  • Communicates effectively and efficiently with co-workers, providers, supervisors, and patients.
  • Works at a speed that maintains practice flow and provider's requirements.
  • Gathers essential and accurate information about patients.
  • Completes an accurate assessment of the patients' immediate presenting problem.
  • Prepares supplies and other equipment for all procedures and maintains proper sterile technique as necessary.
  • Ensures that Medical Charts are up to date and complete.
