Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • NCCPA certification and BLS Certification
  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
  • 2 years of inpatient experience in Neurology, Medicine or Critical Care OR
  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • Related National NP certification and BLS certification
  • 2 years of Inpatient experience in Neurology, Medicine or Critical Care
  • This role is open to new and experienced APPs with a inpatient neurology, medical oncology, or critical care backgrounds
  • Strong Decision-Making: Proven ability to make timely decisions that drive organizational progress.
  • Adaptability to Complexity: Effectively navigating complex and sometimes contradictory information environments.
  • Influential Communication: Skilled at gaining support and dedication from others by engaging them around your priorities.
  • Versatile Communication: Comfortable interacting with diverse teams and patient populations, ensuring effective communication in various contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
  • Provide comprehensive care to inpatient neuro-oncology patients
  • Meet the medical needs of patients
  • Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum
