Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs. The Department of Hospital Medicine is looking to add a qualified Family/Adult-Geriatric/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Hospital Medicine team. In this role, the APRN/PA will work at the top of their license caring for patients at Lutheran, Avon, and Fairview. In this role, the APRN/PA will work as a team with Physicians and other APRN/PA and float between Lutheran, Avon, and Fairview Hospitals. Hospital Medicine shifts are days, 4 -10's, 7am - 5pm. Weekends and holidays are required. Responsibilities in these roles include independently performing admission and cross-coverage with on-site physician support. Ideal candidates would have at least 1 year of inpatient experience, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
