How you’ll make an impact in this role Ascension Medical Group Via Christi is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Immediate Care team in Wichita, Kansas. Position Highlights: Deliver same-day care with walk-in visits and on-line check-in, improving access for patients needing timely treatment. Work alongside experienced advanced practice providers in a supportive outpatient setting. Serve the growing Wichita community by improving access to timely, convenient care for non-emergent medical needs. Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 1 year of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
- Obtain patient history and perform assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
- Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
- Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
- Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
