About The Position

Ascension Seton Highland Lakes is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider, NP or PA, for our Orthopedic division in Burnet, TX. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Seton Williamson to provide medical services to patients. The position includes hospital rounding and consults, call coverage requirement, and APRNs need the RNFA cert. CME funds & allowance are also provided.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment.
• Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.
• Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.
• Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
