Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs. Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking an APRN or PA with first assist experience for an Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery position in the East Region. This APP will partner with the Ortho Trauma Team of surgeons and APPs to deliver comprehensive orthopaedic care across outpatient and surgical settings. The standard schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. No call, weekends, or holidays. Independently manage outpatient clinics, evaluating new, acute injury, established, and post-operative patients. Serve as first assist in the operating room to support increased surgical volume and efficiency. Assess and manage acute orthopaedic injuries, optimize patients for surgery when indicated, and coordinate surgical scheduling. Provide conservative management for patients until surgical intervention is necessary, including performing outpatient procedures such as joint injections/aspirations and wound management, etc. Facilitate referrals to rehabilitation services, imaging, and other consultative services as needed throughout the pre- and post-operative continuum of care.
