About The Position

Thurmond Eye Associates is seeking Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) to join their highly regarded team of ophthalmologists and optometrists in McAllen, TX. For more than 60 years, Thurmond Eye Associates has been the premier provider of ophthalmic and optical services in the Rio Grande Valley. This is an outstanding opportunity to step into an established practice and support a busy, diverse patient population in collaboration with our physicians.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with ophthalmologists to provide medical eye care, including management of glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eye, and other ocular conditions.
• Conduct patient evaluations, histories, and follow-ups, including pre- and post-operative visits.
• Triage urgent eye care needs and coordinate referrals as appropriate.
• Support continuity of care for patients with chronic conditions in collaboration with the physician team.
