About The Position

Ascension Sacred Heart is looking for a certified APP (will consider both NP and PA candidates) to join our neurology practice in Pensacola, FL. This is a great opportunity for a candidate to join a respected practice at the region's comprehensive stroke center. The position is clinic only, with some inpatient rounding (follow-ups) and involves working at a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Migraine clinic. The facility is Leapfrog A rated, and candidates will have the chance to live and work on the beautiful Gulf Coast of FL.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Florida Physician Assistants obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
• Obtain patient history and perform assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
• Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
• Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
