Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs. The Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute has a full-time inpatient opportunity for an APRN (with Adult, Family, or Acute Care Certification) or PA to provide care as an independent clinician, collaborating closely with staff, fellows, residents, and other advanced practice providers. In this role, you will medically manage and treat patients with a variety of neurological and medical conditions admitted to the Stroke and ASERT (Acute Stroke Emergency Response Team) services. Responsibilities include: Assessing patients with new stroke symptoms to diagnose, initiate, and execute treatment plans Exercising autonomy in medical decision-making while working alongside staff physicians and other healthcare team members Counseling and educating of patients with strokes and their families Schedule: Hours: 6:00am-4:00pm Four 10-hour shifts per week, rotating with 8 APPs for weekend and holiday coverage
