About The Position

MUSC Health - Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Heart Failure ICU team within the nationally recognized MUSC Health Heart and Vascular Division for inpatient nights. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide both inpatient and outpatient care to patients with advanced and complex cardiac disease, with a particular focus on heart failure. As part of a high-paced and thriving cardiology program, the APP will play a key role in the multidisciplinary management of patients across the continuum of care.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a PA, FNP or ANP.

Nice To Haves

• AGACNP/ACNP (Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years as a PA, AGACNP or ACNP, cardiology and electrophysiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care in the ICU, inpatient units, and outpatient clinic.
• Managing and coordinating care for patients with acute and chronic heart failure.
• Evaluating new and established patients.
• Assisting with peer-to-peer approvals and care coordination.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
