About The Position

The position is for a Cardiovascular Surgery role at Ascension Milwaukee Hospitals, which emphasizes a collaborative, team-based approach. The role includes inpatient, outpatient, and OR responsibilities, working alongside a team of 1 Vascular Surgeon, 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Orthopedic Physician Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
• Obtain patient history and perform assessment.
• Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
• Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
• Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
