Advanced Practice Provider, Infusion Services
About The Position
Overview: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Infusion Services is a member of a collaborative team who is responsible for providing care to a diverse population of patients seeking oncology services. Respond to simultaneous infusion reactions across multiple pods. Respond and support Radiology Nursing during Medical Alert Events involving contrast reactions in CT department. Support and monitor Phase I clinical trial patients. Assist with ongoing therapy plan and medication order reviews. Maintain compliance with safety standards and investigational drug protocols Strengthen continuity of care for oncology and non-oncology infusion populations. Serves as a resource for staff education and supports the development of care standards and protocols. Provide daily clinical coverage Monday–Friday, including PTO coverage for current Provider.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
- American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics.
- Illinois Registered Nurse License and Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse License
- Illinois Physician Assistant License (if applicable)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
