About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider I - OBGYN at Summa Health Medical Group is responsible for developing and advancing the quality of advanced practice through specialized direct patient care, leadership, consultation, education, and research. The role focuses on improving processes of care for patients and ensuring quality of patient care by utilizing established standards of care for the specified department. The position involves coordination of services with physicians, care managers, social workers, patient care coordinators, therapists, and other community agencies as appropriate. This is a full-time position with no weekends, holidays, or call coverage, and all work is outpatient with no surgery component.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program or a Master's Degree in Nursing with completion of Advanced Practice program.
  • Passed the national certification examination administered by the National Commission of Certification of Physicians Assistants or hold National certification as CNP, CNM, or CNS.
  • Current license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse or physician assistant in the state of Ohio.
  • Minimum one year experience as an advanced practice provider preferred.
  • BLS certification.
