About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position is part of the Division of Hospital Medicine at Swedish and NorthShore Hospital in Chicago, IL. This role is integral to a multidisciplinary medical group, performing comprehensive care in the inpatient setting. The APP works collaboratively with referring providers, nurses, and outpatient clinics to deliver quality healthcare. The position is offered on a per diem basis, with a pay rate of $65 per hour.

Requirements

• Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant Licensure (PA) in the State of IL required.
• Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Prior APN/PA experience in Adult Medicine, ER, Internal Medicine, or Hospitalist Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive health assessments and differential diagnosis.
• Prescribe treatments under protocol for the management of acute and chronic illnesses.
• Provide patient education to promote wellness and prevent illness and injury.
• Work autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
