About The Position

Join our dynamic Inpatient Hepatobiliary Surgery Service as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) and play a pivotal role in patient recovery and care. You will be at the forefront of managing post-operative care, addressing complications, and working alongside a collaborative team of expert surgeons and fellows. As part of a team of over 900 APPs at MSK, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families, all while advancing your career in a supportive and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • A Minimum of 2+ years of relevant clinical experience with inpatient surgery experience preferred
  • Related National NP certification
  • BLS/ ACLS certification
  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • A minimum of 0-1+ years of experience as an experienced PA in surgical oncology preferred
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
  • BLS/ACLS certification
  • Strong decision-making abilities, ensuring timely and effective actions that keep the organization moving forward
  • Skilled in anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple team members, promoting a cohesive work environment
  • Effective communicator, capable of engaging with diverse groups and fostering open, relatable interactions
  • Highly adaptable, adjusting approach and demeanor in real-time to meet the shifting demands of various situations
  • Collaborative, working seamlessly with physicians and other healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care to inpatient Hepatobiliary surgery patients
  • Proficient in implementing patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum

Nice To Haves
