Provide competent, age specific health care to women and children in the Regional Women's Services and Pediatrics (RWSP) healthcare program. The role involves providing primary health care to the patient and family throughout the course of care. This includes using the processes of assessment, diagnosis, management, and evaluation to provide care that integrates the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient and family. Establishing a therapeutic relationship with the client and family is essential. The position also requires planning, developing, coordinating, and providing appropriate health education and counseling in response to patient needs. Additionally, the role contributes to the advancement of the profession, seeks to ensure high quality care within the RWSP, and demonstrates leadership skills in achieving improved outcomes for all clients and their families. The individual will be responsible for the health care provided and will utilize age specific developmental principles when providing care.
