An Advanced Practice Provider Fellow is a certified physician assistant or advanced registered nurse practitioner who spends a year gaining in-depth oncology training/education and provides evaluation and medical management to patients at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. All clinical responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice, institutional privileges and under the supervision of an attending physician. To apply, you must be a student or graduate of an accredited PA or NP program and have graduated at least three months prior to the program start date (November 2, 2026). If you are a student, this allows time to complete your exams, licensure and credentialing. To qualify, you must: Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university (a clinical or health-related bachelor’s degree is preferred) If you are a PA: Have passed or be eligible to take the NCCPA examination If you are an adult, FNP or acute care NP: Have passed or be eligible to take the AANP or ANCC certification examination Obtain Washington state licensure before the November 2, 2026 program start date Your Application Packet should include: Personal statement of interest including a clear indication of why you are applying to this oncology fellowship and which area of focus you would like to pursue.
