About The Position

Our Kidney/Liver Transplant Practice and Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at Plaza location is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider comfortable with medically complicated patients ( HTN, DM, CAD, antirejection agents, pulmonary issues, CMV, respiratory infections). FT Days, Monday-Friday, no clinics, no weekend, no call schedule, and no holiday rotations. The APP is accountable for rounding on inpatients and seeing patients in the clinic daily. The APP will either need to be a Physician Assistant (PA) or be an APRN with first assist certification as this position involves first assisting in the OR. The ideal APP would be meticulous and be able to think on his or her feet. The APP is accountable for advanced practice in the care of assigned patient populations. Responsible for collecting and analyzing client health data, identifies appropriate expected outcomes development and implement plan of care, provide comprehensive clinical coordination of care and case management, provide consultation to influence plan of care for clients, enhance the abilities of others and effect change in the system, uses prescriptive authority procedures and treatments in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations, evaluate clients progress in attaining expected outcomes, conduct clinical research, provide education to patient, family and nursing staff, and case manages high risk patients.

Requirements

  • 1 year Advanced Practice Provider (KS) - Various
  • Advanced Practice Provider (MO) - Various
  • Master's Degree
  • Physician Assistant (PA) or APRN with first assist certification
