The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at Nash UNC Cardiology Clinic plays a crucial role in delivering medical care to patients under the supervision of a cardiology physician. This position is designed for individuals who are committed to improving the health and well-being of the communities served by UNC Health. The APP will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical evaluations, formulating health management plans, and ensuring the safety and quality of care for patients. The role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with supervising physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care effectively. In this position, the APP will perform a variety of tasks including conducting complete evaluations for new patients, managing follow-up visits, and making necessary referrals. The APP will also be responsible for prescribing medications, educating patients about their health conditions, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role demands a high level of professionalism and adherence to hospital regulations, ensuring that all actions are within the scope of practice defined by North Carolina law. The APP will be expected to keep their licenses and certifications current, participate in continuing education, and comply with all relevant policies and procedures. This position is part-time, requiring 16 hours of work per week, primarily on weekends, and is based onsite at the Nash UNC Health Care facility. The APP will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality cardiology care to patients in the community.
